COMMON ORDINANCES THAT AFFECT MOST RESIDENTS
GRASS AND WEEDS - On developed lots grass & weeds MUST NOT exceed 6" in height.
CURFEW - The curfew for all minors is 11:00 PM from April 1st to October 1st and 10:00 PM from October 1st to April 1st.
ADDRESS - All buildings MUST have their address posted in contrasting colors with 6 inch high numbers.
ALARMS -If emergency services respond to more than two false alarms within a 12 month period, the property owner may be fined.
OPEN BURNING - Is prohibited except under the following conditions: the property is greater than 3 acres, is a campfire for social gathering and you must be cooking food (hotdogs/marshmallows, etc.) only burning natural wood products. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
ON LOT DISPOSAL SYSTEMS (SEPTIC) - All septic tanks shall be pumped every three years and inspected every six years.
PERMITS - A building and/or zoning permits are required for any new construction and alternations to a structure, including additions, decks, sheds, garages, pools etc. Always check with the Township first to see what permits are required.
